PHOTOGRAPHY IS THE WAY I CHOOSE TO TELL A STORY
Hi, I'm Julian! I'm a student photographer based in Washington, D.C., exploring people, place, movement, and the quiet moments that connect them all. I shoot a variety of subjects, including documentaries, portraiture, landscapes, and personal projects, emphasizing authentic moments and visual storytelling. In both film and digital photography, I find interest in photos that feel cinematic without losing their sense of reality, looking for gestures, textures, and fragments of everyday life that can turn a photograph into something more than a record of a moment. My work is grounded in observation and atmosphere. Whether shooting the intensity of a sporting event, the stillness of a landscape, or an unplanned interaction between two strangers, I aim to approach each image as part of a larger story, using light, composition, color, and detail as tools to shape the emotions within it.
